A very well-done sermon. Not offensive. I happen to be older and have seen tattoos on 80-year-old people. We all get a disease that changes our bodies. It is called “gravity disease”. The ship sinks. little rosebuds become full bloom and lower on the body. Nothing remains “perky”. The young people have no concept of what they will look like at 80. We didn’t either. Of course, I’m totally against anything that is evil, immoral, or just not in “good taste”. Some of my children and grands have put a cross, roses, heartbeats, etc on their wrists and low back. I’m not in favor of them but what is done is done and I want to encourage them to think twice before any more art work is made permanent.

Respectfully, I have to say that this is wrong teaching. It explicitly states in the OT not to do it. Many Christians discount it because it is in the OT; but do we discount honor your mother and father which is part of the ten commandments? Or any part of the ten commandments because we live under grace or its written in the OT.
Tattooing is a pagan ritual which opens you to dark spiritual forces just like chanting in yoga(Which also is actually Hindu worship not exercise). I agree we do not have to follow the civil laws and the ceremonial laws in OT. You did a great job in explaining that. BUT we are still under the Moral codes which includes OT. This is false teaching and leading people astray(Or tinkling their ears).
I have done some ministry with people who have had tattoos and they needed deliverance. Yes they were Christians! A common tattoo is for someone who dies. (Also states in OT we are not to cut ourselves for the dead) With those in Ministry they need inner healing of their grief of their loved one and yes then deliverance.
PLEASE stop teaching this! It is an open door for the enemy. Your reason/logic is inconsistent when you say we can’t take a scripture out of context but you quote Romans were it says We have to obey the governmental authority . Then you discount Gods commandment to not tattoo.
Please read the book OPENING THE DOOR THROUGH INK by Dr Reg Morais. He does a great job in explaining the dangers and spiritual consequences of tattooing.
God told us not to do it because he loves us and does not want us to fall into the enemy snare. unfortunately churches are teaching its all about grace and since its in the OT we don’t have to obey. Blessings
