Book Recommendation

One of the things that is certain in the Christian life is that we will experience pain. One person that has gone through her share of difficulties is Elisabeth Elliot who lost her husband while he was evangelizing unreached people. Elisabeth shares her suffering and the comfort and mercy from God she experienced as she dealt with this tragic period in her life. I highly recommend this book for those who need to find answers to why they are suffering and how to understand God’s mercy that will carry you through.

Worry seems to plague Christians just as much as it does non-Christians. But God has told us to be anxious for nothing. How do we be obedient to God, but still deal with the trials and troubles that come upon us in everyday life?

This month, I want to recommend Winfred Nealy’s book, How to Overcome Worry. Dr. Nealy takes a biblical approach to the problems of worry and anxiety and provides practical guidance in how we can find the peace of God in our lives.
