The information that we collect relates directly to the action being completed. For financial transactions such as donations or store purchases, we will need to collect your credit card number. We use customer information collected to send the requested information, complete the requested transaction, and present the most relevant information to our listeners based on their interests. We never sell, share or trade any of our customer information with other companies.

Shipping policy
Standard shipping to the United States:
United States Postal Service is our standard in shipping method in the United States. Barring complications, your order will be processed and shipped from our fulfillment office in Southern California within 1-2 business days of purchase. You should expect to receive your order within 7-10 business days.

 

Expedited shipping within the United States is not offered on our website, but if you require expedited shipping please call our office at (888) 320-5885, weekdays, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (PT) and we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

International Shipping
International orders will be shipped using United States Postal Service. Any duty charges assessed in shipment will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Your order will be processed and shipped from our fulfillment office in Southern California within 1-2 business days of being placed.

 

Please note: It is the responsibility of the person placing the order to provide a correct address, deliverable by USPS for standard shipments or for expedited shipments. If given an incorrect address (no apartment number or building number) by purchaser and product is returned to Focal Point, the purchaser may be responsible for the loss of the product as well as shipping and handling costs. Shipping cost is non-refundable for unclaimed, undeliverable, or returned packages, unless we made a mistake in processing.

 

Whistleblower Policy
Focal Point is committed to operating in furtherance of its tax-exempt purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those concerning accounting and auditing, and prohibits fraudulent practices by any of its board members, officers, employees, or volunteers. This policy outlines a procedure for employees and volunteers to report actions that an employee or volunteer reasonably believes violates a law, or regulation or that constitutes fraudulent accounting or other practices. This policy applies to any matter which is related to Focal Point’s business and does not relate to private acts of an individual not connected to the business of Focal Point.

 

If an employee or volunteer has a reasonable belief that an employee or volunteer of Focal Point has engaged in any action that violates any applicable law, or regulation, including those concerning accounting and auditing, or constitutes a fraudulent practice, the employee or volunteer is expected to immediately report such information to Mike Fabarez or Jay Wertin. If the employee or volunteer does not feel comfortable reporting the information to either of the above, he or she is expected to report the information to any board member.

 

All reports will be followed up promptly, and an investigation conducted. In conducting its investigations, Focal Point will strive to keep the identity of the complaining individual as confidential as possible, while conducting an adequate review and investigation.

 

Focal Point will not retaliate against an employee or volunteer in the terms and conditions of employment because that employee or volunteer: (a) reports to a supervisor, to the executive director, the Board of Directors or to a federal, state or local agency what the employee believes in good faith to be a violation of the law; or (b) participates in good faith in any resulting investigation or proceeding, or (c) exercises his or her rights under any state or federal law(s) or regulation(s) to pursue a claim or take legal action to protect the employee’s rights.

 

Focal Point may take disciplinary action (up to and including termination) against an employee or volunteer who in management’s assessment has engaged in retaliatory conduct in violation of this policy.

 

In addition, Focal Point will not, with the intent to retaliate, take any action harmful to any employee or volunteer who has provided to law enforcement personnel or a court truthful information relating to the commission or possible commission by Focal Point or any of its employees or volunteers of a violation of any applicable law or regulation.

 

Supervisors will be trained on this policy and Focal Point’s prohibition against retaliation in accordance with this policy.

 

Conflict of Interest Policy
Every member shall avoid conflicts of interest. Transactions with related parties may be undertaken only if all of the following are observed: 1) a material transaction is fully disclosed in the audited financial statements of the member; 2) the related party is excluded from the discussion and approval of such transaction; 3) a competitive bid or comparable valuation exists; and 4) the member’s board has acted upon and demonstrated that the transaction is in the best interest of the member.
