Do You Long for a Loving, Caring Church Community?
by Pastor Mike Fabarez
Remember when social media promised to bring people together and make us feel more “connected”? Well, the modern reality is that more than 60% of Americans report feeling lonely and disconnected, and young adults are experiencing unprecedented levels of isolation. This epidemic of loneliness stands in stark contrast to the vibrant, connected community that Christ envisioned for his Church.
Are you yearning for deeper, more meaningful relationships?
I’m thrilled to introduce you to our latest book, Keeping the Church Small — it’s the antidote to modern loneliness. This “labor of love” is a practical, biblically rooted guide to fostering meaningful relationships and spiritual growth within your church community, and it couldn’t have come at a more critical time.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Keeping the Church Small
by Pastor Mike Fabarez & Staff
As we navigate a contentious and divisive political season, the need for authentic Christian community has never been greater. That’s why I’ve partnered with the pastoral staff at Compass Bible Church to create this resource. It’s designed to equip you with the tools you need to combat isolation and build the kind of Christian friendships Jesus modeled with his disciples.
I’ll send you a copy of our brand-new book, Keeping the Church Small, as my gift to you when you give generously to support the ministry of Focal Point.
While the world focuses on fleeting political alliances and divisiveness we’ll explore the depths of Christ-centered relationships. It is easy to get caught up in the election hype and potentially be at odds with others in our church family. But our earthly Christian friendships should transcend the transient distractions that swirl around us. Our friendships need to be about acceptance, hospitality, kindness, encouragement, patience and forgiveness.
This might be tough in our current culture, but as followers of Christ we need to be willing to say to Him, “I’ll do anything,” “go any place,” at “any time” that the Lord calls me to. Our hearts need to be shaped by God’s word and empowered for his mission as we learn to love authentically, witness courageously, and live as citizens of heaven amidst the clamor of earthly kingdoms.
To support you on this journey, I want to make sure you have access to Keeping the Church Small. This book is more than just a guide — it’s a roadmap to revitalizing your church experience and deepening your spiritual connections. We’ll send you a copy right away, to keep or to share, when you send a generous donation to support Focal Point.
Friend, as election fervor grips the nation and candidates scramble for earthly power, we should keep in mind how privileged we are to have the right to elect our own leaders. We’re also called to remember a greater truth that transcends all political cycles — Jesus Christ reigns supreme. In these divisive times, our first allegiance is to Jesus Christ and helping his Church thrive.
Thank you for standing with us in this vital mission. Your generosity enables us to continue broadcasting God’s truth across the nation, nurturing a community of believers who are deeply connected to Christ and to each other.
Just like you, my wife Carlynn and I make choices in our budget every day, which is why I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to support Focal Point! We know that supporting solid biblical teaching is not someone else’s job — it’s God’s calling on each one of us. Together, we are encouraging believers to grow in love and fellowship as we boldly proclaim biblical truth, anytime and anywhere.
With Christian Friendship,
Mike Fabarez
