Pastor Mike answers the question: Why do I need to continue to examine myself to see if I’m a Christian?

Mr. Stone –
Not a good review. The text in Heb.6: 6 is, and have fallen away, not if they fall away. This is spoken to new Jewish converts wanting to go back to the law. The parables you speak of are the cares of this world draws them away, like houses, horses, etc. Draws them away from what? Love. The goal of the believers life is simple faith thru love. 1john 3:23,24 the second part of loving others is ignored in the Church. We constantly judge. We are to believe on Jesus and lay down our lives for others. Yes there is sanctification by the Spirit, and other believers not judging but helping others. Believers are secure in Him, for who He calls he keeps.
