Training People to Serve Christ
Enduring participation in the work of evangelism & discipleship comes from those who have been spiritually conditioned by the disciplines of giving, praying & serving.
Teaching People to be Like Christ
Our weekly biblical preaching to God’s people is intended to produce “doers of the word” who are eager to receive the truth, live it out, and pass it on.
Reaching People for Christ
God expects us to master the gospel message and boldly risk the conflict that comes from presenting it and defending it as we continually seek to make new disciples.
Responding to the King of Kings
Jesus possesses absolute authority over our lives, so it is critical to be mindful of his commands & commissions, and it behooves us to be diligent to do them.
Dealing With The Discouragers
During the present age we must always be vigilant and courageous enough to break fellowship with any who obstinately and selfishly undermine the unity of the church.
The Encouragement of a Unified Church
We all need the strength and support that is derived from being a part of a church that values the nature, function and limits of Christian unity.
Sacrificial Leaders & Replicating Ministries
Church leaders must be willing to pay the price of being godly pacesetters, and the church must be ready for the adjustments & values that are a part of a healthy church.
Prayerfully-Reliant & Highly Committed Participants
When we incessantly pray, we are able to transfer our trust to a powerful God who is eager to enable each Christian in our church to be vastly productive for his kingdom.
Knowing the Real God & the Real Gospel
Understanding the importance of truth and knowing that it will always be under attack, we must always work to define and defend an accurate knowledge of God and the gospel.
The Centrality of Scripture & Expository Preaching
Because God said the cultural climate would become increasingly hostile toward the truth, we must insist all the more that the Bible have preeminence in our church.
Staying Focused On God’s Purpose for the Church
The church has been commissioned by Christ to make disciples – which means we work to see people caught, taught and trained to catch, teach & train others.
Sincerely Loving God’s People
“Sold-Out Servants” must care for their fellow congregants with a selfless, Christlike love which is full of respect and genuine concern for the others’ good.
Making Our Church Stronger
God requires that every Christian enthusiastically utilize the variety of personal investments that he has made in each of us to advance his cause and care for his church.
Fortifying the Church to Make a Difference
God has enabled and called every Christian to be actively involved in serving and ministering to their local church body
Reexamining the Nature of the Church
To rightly interpret God’s future program we must rightly understand the nature of the church and its distinctiveness in relation to Israel.
Living & Dying with Biblical Confidence
God would have us exercise ambitious faith in boldly asking him for Christ?s work to thrive beyond the confines of our local geography and limited lifespan.
Motivated by Earlier Days of Devotion
The zeal of our early days of our Christian lives should be a motivating example that God is at work in us and that he always would have us excel still more!
Motivated by Real Christian Friends
Drawing near to God is in many ways a team effort as we help and encourage one another to love him more and live more effectively for him.
Freeing Them to Be All They’re Called to Be
God has called the men of Compass Bible Church to step up and take the lead in serving & glorifying Christ; we must boldly affirm and encourage that biblical calling.
God is Good
We should be incredibly happy and thankful that God is blessing CBC in amazing ways; and we should gear up for the great harvest he has in store for this church.
Addressing the Broader Questions Raised in Romans 3:3-4
We should wake up the incredible and precious gift God has given us in entrusting us with his word; and so we should reverentially dig in to our Bibles every day!
Answering the Basic Questions in Romans 3:3-8
God is always perfectly faithful to keep his promises to Israel (and the Church) regarding judgment of sin and fidelity to the long-term promises regarding his people.
