Spiritual defection and apostasy should rightly concern and even anger us, leading us to personal vigilance and a thoughtful ministry of strong encouragement in the lives of others.
We can and should be completely assured of God’s promises regarding the future and our own future because of his impeccable trustworthiness and his perfect fidelity to all that he has said.
We must prayerfully and strategically spend money as managers of God’s financial resources, knowing that he will always reward integrity and a persistent focus on his priorities.
Because we will always encounter those pushing a compromised version of Christianity, we must resolve to stand our ground on the clear teaching of Scripture, never swayed by appealing lies.
Christ will call us to positions and tasks for which we will feel inadequate, our job is to be faithful, trusting that he will supply all that is needed, bearing fruit through us in victories and setbacks.
We may at times respond with negativity to the accurate preaching of the truth, but God has called all Christians as his messengers to be faithful to God’s message regardless of the response.
God has shown his faithfulness to his good promises, as well as his faithfulness to his just judgments by the way he provided Jesus from the lineage of David.
We must learn to revel in the eternal and transcendent blessings that are ours as God’s kids, even when we lack the comforts and conveniences this world has to offer.
God typically chooses to enlist faithful and obedient Christians to powerfully advance the cause of Christ, usually in ways they could have never imagined.
We should wake up the incredible and precious gift God has given us in entrusting us with his word; and so we should reverentially dig in to our Bibles every day!
Being a lifelong follower of Christ is the expectation of the genuine Christian life. Leaders have modeled it for us and Christ has given us the ultimate example!
God wants to use us in his ministry of encouragement (2Cor.7:6) as we make ourselves available to walk with others from our church through their pain.
