We should gratefully celebrate the incarnation, knowing something of the cost to Christ in taking on the humanity of Adam to save sinful humans.
God has strategically enlisted every Christian to play a part in advancing Christ’s kingdom by promoting and proclaiming the redemptive work of the Messiah.
Worship is not always an impulsive emotional reaction, it should also take place as a dutiful expression of thanksgiving as a result of an intentional, thoughtful decision.
Christianity assumes and requires that Christians are consciously and purposefully living for the glory, honor and benefit of God – not themselves!
The Christian life requires a devotion to prayer and a resolve to fight all obstacles that stand in the way of regular, consistent and ardent praying.
To be truly grateful for grace we must “fear God” — knowing something of what it means to stand in fear, awe and reverence of the holiness, justice and power of God.
It makes no sense for us to restlessly chase after all the material things the world craves, because as God’s kids we have the promise of God’s presence and perpetual provision.
When God gives us a good gift (like a new church facility) it is important to praise him for the privilege and accept the responsibility as prayerful & hopeful good stewards.
We should be incredibly happy and thankful that God is blessing CBC in amazing ways; and we should gear up for the great harvest he has in store for this church.
Real “Thanksgiving” takes when you specifically define & direct your sincere words of gratitude to God; the most profound thanksgiving will be focused on the eternal truths that are unaffected by our changing circumstances!
We must be quick to give up our prerogatives for other Christians whose conscience might be tweaked over the exercise of our freedom.
See your problems in light of God’s generous grace, allowing that perspective to make you truly optimistic as you seek to change them.
Regardless of your present circumstances you always have plenty of reasons to give God a heartfelt thank-you.
God expects us to live joyful and godly lives no matter how difficult or how long the seasons of suffering last in our lives.
