We, like Peter, must proclaim the offer of forgiveness in Christ by calling people to repentance and the hope of a promised future inheritance in God’s coming kingdom.
There are three basic views on the Millennium and Pastor Mike outlines each position and gives a brief biblical position for his view.
As recipients of God’s gracious promise of forgiveness and everlasting adoption, our faith should be strengthened by God’s tenacious loyalty to the people of Israel and the city of Jerusalem.
While Israel’s widespread rejection of King Jesus resulted in a postponement of the earthly kingdom, we should remain confident in God’s impeccable promises as we work and patiently await the King’s second coming.
We should joyfully anticipate the faithful fulfillment of God’s covenant promises to Israel by gratefully worshipping the all-wise Architect of salvation history.
Knowing that God is using his relationship with us to provoke jealousy in Israel should be one of the many biblical motivations to pursue a vibrant spiritual life
We should do our best to understand the nature of God’s promised “1000 years” in Revelation 20, so that our hope is accurate and our understanding of God’s faithfulness is bolstered.
Christ has established his right to rule over everything and everyone, and one day he will. Until then we should trust him, do right & not whine.
